and react-dom
appear as "peer" dependencies in package-lock.json. So, they should be installed by a recent version of NPM. But if you have an old version of NPM, they might not, because there was a period where NPM didn't install peer dependencies by default.
What do you get when you run npm --version
? I get:
❯ npm --version
7.24.2
If that's the problem and you can upgrade NPM, that's probably your best bet. If you can't upgrade NPM, you can manually resolve the dependencies by adding "react": "^17.0.2"
and "react-dom": "^17.0.2"
to the dependencies
section of your package.json file.
