When arctic.delete_library("mylib")
is called, the shared pointer to the Library
object associated with "mylib"
is deleted. But in PythonVersionStore
, store_
member of type Store
also holds a shared pointer to the Library
object associated with "mylib"
. The deletion of this is complicated as the PythonVersionStore
has been binded with python and lives until the associated python object is not deleted by the user.
Once considered solution is to check before every operation on a library whether that library has been deleted from LibraryManager
, which is not ideal and also has race conditions. Hence the current behaviour is better than the alternative solution considered. Once arctic.delete_library()
is called, the associated library object in python becomes orphan and should not be used.
Therefore, this issue is closed as not planned.
