Setting TZ about docker-nagios HOT 2 CLOSED

This is a feature I also wanted to add . The automisation however requires some time and I could not find any up until now.

I also use Europe/Athens in my configuration and I have put the defaults to UTC . So at the moment to manually change the timezone in an Alpine container, you need to have installed the tzdata package and then run the container with a TZ environment variable. More info here. Thus in my case:

docker run -d --name nagios -e "TZ=Europe/Athens" manios/nagios

Then you need to tell Nagios to use another timezone. So you need to configure /opt/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

use_timezone=Europe/Athens

and then configure Apache cgi configuration to use the same timezone. More info here.

Thanks for all the detail, works perfectly after doing the above - and totally understand why that is not working out of the box either just yet :)
