You can read all about character classes here. In general, you can either directly use a negated character class:

from pregex import *

pre = cl.AnyButWordChar()

or negate a regular character class via operator "~":

from pregex import *

pre = ~ cl.AnyWordChar()

The end result is exactly the same. Also, make sure to set parameter "is_global" based on whether you would like to include foreign characters or not:

from pregex import *

pre1 = cl.AnyButWordChar() # corresponds to "[^A-Za-z\d_]"
pre2 = cl.AnyButWordChar(is_global=True) # corresponds to "\W"

How do you implement negated character classes in pregex? I did not see anything in the docs regarding that.
