Ahmad! Great question!
Short answer is full separation between backend and web client (and other clients). Separate development without the need to know both technologies.
The long answer:
We had quiet the discussion about structuring the project and each has their own school. We have a Project Structure design document that helped us make the decision to go fully separated web-client instead of having it served from the backend.
Does that make sense? Let us know what do you think!

You are totally right and I really love this way of structuring. I also hate writing JavaScript Test Units in rails it makes tests unreadable.
This Document should go to Wiki.

The only reason we prefer to use Google Docs is it is easier to collaborate and invite people to comment. So for now I am just linking to these files and once they are finalized we can move these documentation and keep them updated on the wiki.
