Bad bluetooth connection about calypso-anemometer HOT 6 OPEN

I'm using RPI3 with a bluetooth 5.1 dongle and can't confirm that issue in my setup.

I had a model which had some issues ( probably hardware ).
Bad connection when the distance between receiver and sender was greater than a meter.
With the exchange model I am using it with a distance of about 13 m without issues so far.
Device has the most recent firmware and software ( via the Calypso Updater -> https://apps.apple.com/us/app/calypso-upgrader/id1611011749, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.calypsoinstruments.ble_stm_upgrader&hl=en_US&gl=US )

Used with RPI4 and external 5.1 dongle.

Dear @discoding,

thank you for writing in. Because I am personally not operating this software with real hardware, I can't really recommend anything on this matter.

However, I've asked others doing so, and they reported back that they have been successful using an extra bluetooth dongle on the Raspberry Pi, and by connecting the machinery to a good power supply.

May I also ask if your Raspberry Pi by chance sits in an enclosure which may dampen bluetooth reception?

Btw i sent it back and they would send a new one.

Excellent decision. I've heard from others that they also have been successful swapping the device. Good luck, and let us know about the outcome.
