Modularized battery management system using weather and usage forcasts and astronomic data to get best estimates of the current and future state of charge. It is not simple to get the exact state of charge of a battery array. Looking at the voltage only would indicate that the battery is full most of the time while charging (voltage always high). Counting the current that goes in and out of the battery accumulates errors and has an inherant error caused by the heating of the shunt (used by VE BMV). Together with some additional data like GPS location, roof inclination, times of sunrise and sunset and weather forcast the state of charge can be improved and forcasts can be made so that the battery never becomes undercharged.
