For password inputs the read value will be the placeholder text. To fix this i changed lines 54 and 56, respectively:
$replacement = $input.clone().attr({ id: $input.attr('id')+'-placeholderClone', type: 'text' });
This keeps the id unique and gives the possibility to handle the placeholding input field (this is usually not necessary) which has the ID of the original password input field plus the string "-placeholderClone"

Sakic19: That would break <label>
functionality.

you're right, it didn't think about it because i've never used a label for a password field, but i think that it's the lesser evil to break the label functionality than to get the wrong password for an ajax verification or reg form for example.

What we need to do is make sure the visible input field (of both the real password
input and the fake one) always gets the proper ID. That way, <label>
s will still work, and CSS styles based on that ID will behave normally as well.
