I've had this problem, too.
It would be awesome if forms were built automatically from the User class (http://flask.pocoo.org/snippets/60/), and field_args was overridable. Or, maybe the ability to change the form using a context processor? Otherwise, it seems like you have to redo everything?
(Currently, I'm just asking for email and password, and then have a separate form once they're signed up. You could probably also sneak another form in using register_context_processor, but that still complicates things.)
