Looks like you're attempting to get the current user within a request preprocessor. This is before any of the Flask-Login code is executed, which attaches the user to the request context. In other words, you can't use current_user in a request preprocessor function.

Its been a 'preprocess' in terminology only, not sure that this actually preprocesses...what I can determine is that is a possibility, putting previous code into a new context has changed some order that previously was ok.

I need to establish why this:

works, but when I attempt to use the flarf extension 'current_user' is not there but in the blueprint it is.

And hmmm it seems that what it is doing now is clearly happening before reload_user at https://github.com/maxcountryman/flask-login/blob/master/flask_login.py#L361

So this isn't an issue with flask-login per se just a collision of something I've built and don't have a full grasp on yet.

Any input by anyone would be appreciated.
