Hi, I think that it's better to not initialise sal.js when app is rendered on server side. I'm not familiar with Angular Universal, but I imagine that there is hydrate phase after app is rendered by server. I think it's safe to avoid using sal.js during SSR and initialise it during hydrate phase. Here how you can do it:
import sal from 'sal.js';
const hasDocument = typeof document === 'object';
const hasWindow = typeof window === 'object';
const isBrowser = hasDocument && hasWindow;
if (isBrowser) {
sal();
}
Basically, you check if document
and window
object is defined. It's not available during SSR, but during hydrate phase it should be. Then if both objects are there, you can use sal.js
. I hope this helps.
