Well, @rskull, I am reporting another one since I'm only mentioning the flickering part. But the source of the problem is the same - not using getItemLayout. 2.1.4 works perfectly fine I would say. I guess the right thing to do is check why getItemLayout was removed and find a way to keep it and fix the reason for that action

@akirasunny did you take a look at my merge request? You could try using my fork. If there are still issues, please write them down in the PR. If there are not, please confirm the PR is a working one (again in the PR).
