Build on risk reduction benchmarking.
Benchmark containers
bonnie++ in different OSes
databases (cassandra, redis, mongoDB) in different OSes
Use these two programs to benchmark containers without and with volumes and volumes on NFS/GlusterFS. This will determine the baseline of containers performance.
Benchmarking of simple applications
Simple scenarios to test overall performance improvements.
Scenario 1 : simple blogging app (writing and reading multiple entries for blog)
Scenario 2 : simple app for searching some large amount of data (movie, dictionary, library of books)
Scenario 3 : simple app that does arithmetic operations on data and stores the data.
Use these starting scenarios to test performance of an applications built with containers.
I think this is a good starting point for collecting data. @Jacobingalls Does this make sense? This is what I took away from our conversations/research and what i came up with in my brain. Just lmk if we need to change any of this or i need more clarification on what we are trying to do. If so, we can take a scenario, build it and then benchmark it without, with and with NFS/GlusterFS enabled volumes.

@jeremycastillo I will take Scenario 2

Status update: #24 adds automatic running of benchmarks

I believe this was completed by the time #26 was merged. Can someone confirm this is done?
