Feel free to try, I have no qualms about changing it, the development of the about screen was not difficult and can be redone if I really like your design. :) Expressing modularity, fonts, and editing in one symbol is hard, and the K is boring, as fun as I managed to make it a few days ago, lol.

just an idea.

I am not sure about that one, mostly due to the different spacing around "F" than around other letters, but I'm not sure about design in general, although the idea to make a logo easy to incorporate module names into is good.

@brigazvi Sorry for the late reply. Can you submit a PR with that? I'd like to start using it
from about.
@ctrlcctrlv I will search for the original file. But maybe we can refine it a little bit. I fill like its not unique and distinguishable enough.

@brigazvi So, I have these artworks which we're already free to use of the rabbit character, who is MFEK's somewhat official mascot:
I have used him on the Twitter before but try to keep it to a minimum because I post enough furry stuff on my normal account lol
But, I wouldn't be opposed to using a rabbit head or something if that idea helps at all. I plan for him to also appear in the documentation.
Oh, and you can see he's also holding a compass, you could incorporate that, to remind of the bunny in a less obvious way.
By the way, the bunny's name is George, which is a very inside joke. So, the real George Williams quit the FontForge project to take up running as a hobby instead. He's run all sorts of marathons. FontForge was for him a retirement hobby—strangely MFEK is in some ways my retirement hobby.
Clearly, MFEK's George hasn't taken up running. The real George was never a big guy at all lol, so MFEK's George is like alternate reality furry George that keeps working on font editors.
Really, using his first name is just a way to honor gww, as without him none of my fonts, or this entire project, would exist; but the mascot has no canonical surname, so if he doesn't like the honor or the project for whatever reason there's plausible deniability there (it's a coincidence!) ;)
George is unlikely to join the pantheon of famous FOSS mascots like Tux, Camelia, or Beastie…but well, if you don't play you can't win.

@ctrlcctrlv If we are already on the subject of the hidden secrets of the project, does the K has any meaning? Should it be an important part of the logo?
from about.
Hahaha. Nope, no hidden meaning. See [1]:
Why K?
I read somewhere letter K stands out in people's memories. Kraft Mac and Cheese, Krazy Glue, K-mart, Kellogg's, Kool-Aid, Kit-Kat, KFC, on and on.

Oh, ok
