Sorry for the late reply. Just returned from holiday.
I will answer all question just for future references:

1: Cntr is supposed to be installed in the environment in the fat container. I have not created an example for that yet in the documentation. I added a Dockerfile that uses busybox as an example container (you can replace busybox with a fat container that fits your need).
2: You only need the fuse kernel module (try $ modprobe fuse). Every common linux distribution should have that by default. You can check whether /dev/fuse is available. Libfuse or its executables are not required, cntrfs directly talks to the kernel.
3. In the video they came from the host. If you work with a fat container they need to be installed there. We do not download anything but leave it to the user to setup the desired environment.
