We could look into this. The radical suggestion isn't something I'm for, personally.

Hi!

So far I'm loving Timer - but I also find it a bit distracting - having a large black square on screen.

Related to this issue, have you considered either having colour options for the background or ideally - lowering the opacity when Timer isn't the foreground app?
