Hmmm. That's odd! Have you been evaluating some of comb's defvars, etc? Might be you cleared some local variables?

The current approach in master relies on too much defvar-local stuff; the development version has completely revamped it, though with the caveat that I'm still putting it through its paces.

It's possible I updated to latest git and then reloaded the elisp manual, can't remember TBH. My emacs processes tend to be very long-lived ;-)

Noted, thanks. Was looking at that branch earlier and wondering if I should "risk" trying it.

I suspect it might be stale code. I'm very aggressive in refactoring so something may have gone askew. Or it could be a legit bug that I may have fixed in dev. Can't remember :)
