Can you answer a few questions for me:

  • Which SDK and version are you running (C#, JS) (4.21.0, 4.20.1, etc.)?
  • If JS, which version of Node are you running?
  • Is this a new bot or a pre-existing bot? In other words, has the bot been running previously without error and only just started or is this a new bot which you are experiencing this problem out-of-the-box?
  • If you haven't, could you try downgrading the BotBuilder package to a previous version and test, again?
  • Have you verified the bot is running on port 3978?
  • Have you verified the MicrosoftAppId and MicrosoftAppPassword match between the bot and Emulator?
  • Is your bot's Azure registration configured for it to be a SingleTenant, MultiTenant, or UserAssignedMSI and is your bot configured for the same?

Hello @stevkan ,
Answers below.

A. The SDK version is 4.18.1 ( Bot framework V4 SDK templates)
B. Its not JS and C# solution . I am pulling the code out of this Github repo https://github.com/namitts82/NLPonAZDo . However I dont see the dependencies uploaded in this Github repo and I have to download latest versions of the complaining dependencies for the project to compile.
C. This is a new bot which is the output of the https://github.com/namitts82/NLPonAZDo repo C# compilation.
D. How to verify if the bot is running on port 3978? Suggestions please.
E. I dont have a MicrosoftAppId and MicrosoftAppPassword created. Is this mandate for the BOT to work and respond.

@NarendraBabuTR - Thank you for your patience. Unfortunately, the repo you pulled the code from is not an official Microsoft repository and, therefore, is not one we can provide support for. I would recommend creating an issue in that repo to get help from the code owner or posting your question on Stack Overflow for broader community support.
