@christiango , is there anything left in here? I believe you made it work :) (i.e. we are not blocking on latest / snapshot / version calls)

I think we can still do much better. Create new still blocks connecting to the container so we can propose code. Since create new is the first exposure many people have to Fluid experiences, I think it is worth making it our fastest flow rather than the slowest. We also need a flow that can someday work offline.
Some ideas we have talked about here include a server API for creating a container with code already proposed (pushing a snapshot from the client) or using a model where we create new docs by "forking" existing ones
