hhmmm, thats odd because looking at the save code there doesn't seem to be any directory changing smoking guns. Is this a blocking issue?
also do you know what is the scala equivalent of that get hdispark working dir function?

I've fixed the issue in the PR here:
#135
It looks like disposing the file system object was removing the currently set working directory and all other temporary settings, and a new file system object was getting created from the Hadoop configuration.
