Hey!

Which Android version are you using for your app?
You don't need another nested RelativeLayout. The SlidingLayer is a RelativeLayout itself for now.

I am using min SDK version as 2.2 and target version as 16.
Error is still there even if i removed relative layout.I am not able to view design of my layout!....

It's an error happening in a place where we are requesting some info from the device. In that sense it's pretty uncommon and related to its hardware. Have you tried in different devices? Is that happening on the emulator?
Can you share the project so that I can give it some tests?

this problem occurs in my device too. I am using Galaxy Ace (api 8). I just created a new project to test it. It contains nothing but an activity and a xml file. But the problem remains.

Then it was due to not having the compatibility lib v4 included in your project.
ManojMM026, are you still facing that issue?

Hey!
Make sure that both in your Manifest and your project.properties the target is the latest. (17)
Other than that there's not much to do other than including the library folder into your project (or the example) folder.

Which is the problem you see?
All the best.
