Miniflux 2 have less options than the v1. Some people prefers to see only a summary, others the full item contents and the rest only the title.
Personally, I noticed that scanning entries based only on the title is more efficient to find something interesting to read. The items list is more condensed. This is the same approach as Hacker News or similar websites.
As of now, I do not plan to display item summaries in the list view.
from v2.
Personally, I found it more efficient to use the full item view. I subscribe to a relatively small number of feeds and want to read every item from every feed (as opposed to a Hackernews-style subscription where I am sifting through a lot of items I dont want to read). I could quickly read through the items without having to open every one individually. However, I appreciate that Miniflux is designed based on your preferences.

If anyone knows how to edit MIniflux to get this to work, please post. It seems like it shouldn't be too much of a patch to apply locally if it can't get merged into master. I tried editing the templates for a little while but I don't know go and wasn't having any success changing things.
