Thanks for reporting. What version iOS is this?
I've tested in the 5.1 Simulator. The left column (table of contents) should be hidden on the iPhone, as there's no space for a 2-column layout. I might add the table of contents for mobile phones in the future.

Weird. I've made a CSS rule that the sidebar is hidden on mobile. Here's how it looks in Simulator:
Alas, I don't have an iPhone to test on.
