COR and AUTO flags can only be at top level of the message.
NIL and CNL can be at top level or in a trend.
Am I correct ?
In the Federal Meteorological Handbook, I can only find information on COR flag

There's some information here: https://www.dwd.de/EN/specialusers/aviation/download/products/metar_taf/metar_taf_download.pdf?__blob=publicationFile&v=3 but I don't see anything in the US handbook either.
Do you want me to separate out these issues, one for COR, and one for NIL/CNL?
