There is no "start date" tag that TodoTxtMac supports. I am not seeing this behavior in terms of other dates.

I am considering adding highlighting that would target generic tags, including "due:" (which is already supported), "t:", "d:", or whatever other custom tags are in sure.

Please refer this link and see the section Rule 2: The date of completion appears directly after the x, separated by a space. . Now the todtotxtmac behaviour according to my experience is that if I add a task like this 2014-09-01 report bug to mjdescy then it takes 2014-09-01 as due date. Hope you understood.

@lalthomas I took a look at this again tonight and do not see the behavior. Completed tasks should be all gray with strikethrough, so the coloring of the due date should not apply.

I'm running TodoTxtMac 1.2.3 on Yosemite. If it is a Mountain Lion-only bug, I don't think I'll be able to fix it.
