Yeah, might be useful to implement, probably not that hard either.

I'm just not using it myself, as I generally hang around in casual chats/discords where mentioning someone without @ is almost always preferrable, so never bothered implementing.

Initially implemented these via some kind of userlists, but then realized that even discord doesn't keep these on the client, and only does dynamic completion-style lookups for users when composing messages, so keeping massive channel/guild userlists doesn't seem to be a good idea.

Ended up with a mix of current "remember last active" and "lookup on server" approaches, signaling error if mentions can't be translated in a strict unambiguous manner, as described in the README here:

Might be possible to also mix with earlier approach from 5a58bda for small discords, where it's easy to cache user list, but dynamic name lookups should probably be good enough there too.
