[Feature Request] Extend the sort functionality about slickgrid HOT 2 CLOSED

Here's an example of what I'm doing. It seems stable but I've only checked it in Chrome and Firefox. Since I'm not using any editors there's no reason to resort the column after it's been sorted once

grid.onSort = function(column, asc) {
  if (grid.sortedBy_ != column.field) {
    dataview.sort(function(a, b) {
      var x = $.trim(a[column.field]), y = $.trim(b[column.field]);
      return x == y? 0 : (x > y? 1 : -1);
    });
    this.sortedBy_ = column.field;
    if (!asc) dataview.reverse();
  }
  else {
    dataview.reverse();
  }
  grid.setSelectedRows([]);
};

Added an "ascending" parameter to DataView.sort(comparer,ascending).
Providing the "ascending" parameter and keeping the comparer direction-unaware solves the issue of sort not being "stable".

I would still recommend using DataView.fastSort() whenever possible though.
