Wrong argument in fmiStepFinished about fmi-standard HOT 4 CLOSED

Discussion:

• Current solution: The slave calls "stepFinished" with "fmiComponent". However, how shall the environment determine which slave performed this call? The only possible way seems to be to keep all pointers (fmiComponent) to the slaves and then compare all pointer to the fmiComponent from "stepFinished". So, this means that always a linear search is needed in order to utilize this information.

• Proposed new solution: The slave calls "stepFinished" with "fmiComponentEnvironment". In such a case, the environment can place an identification of the slave in the data structure of "fmiComponentEnvironment" and can then identify the slave that called "stepFinished" in O(1).

So, the new proposal seems to be much better as the current solution.

Decision at FMI-Meeting in April 2011:

Proposal is accepted (replace fmiComponent by fmiComponentEnvironment)
