confirmed, ruby 1.8.7. Pegs cpu at 100%. Pretty scary stuff.

Are you still having these issues? I can't reproduce on 1.8.7 on Linux or OS X. If you're still having this issue please post your full Ruby version and what platform you're testing against

For information: This was reproducible with Chronic.parse("summer", :now=>Time.parse("Dec 22, 2010")) and would occur with any date in December that was outside of a range it was being compared to (MiniDate#is_between?) if the ranges end date was in December
