Actually this is intended behaviour. Thinking logically, if someone said to me 2pm -- even if it was 7pm, I wouldn't think of 2pm tomorrow, I'd think of today. A similar one is 10am when it's currently 10pm on the same day, I think it's more likely to be talking about 10am today, not tomorrow.

Anyone want to add thoughts to this?

I will try to explain why I think it is not a very usable behavior. There two main modes Chronic can be used: to record future events like an appointment calendar (:context => :future) and when a log of past events is recorded like a bug report system (:context => :past). With this in mind, it's handling of "2pm" is unusable for both modes because it is unpredictable- may work like you want or may now depending on your local time. While you could force people to look at clock and type "next" or "past", it is not something I would want to do. My 2 cents.
