I just ran into this problem myself.
Chronic.parse("monday 8:00am",:now=>Time.parse("2010-11-07 8:00pm"))
The article above provides a work-around. It would be nice to have this fixed.

Bugs related to timezone offsets and Daylight savings were fixed and released in 0.3.0. I can't reproduce this, and haven't been able to with a previous checkout. So I'll assume the 0.3.0 changes fixed this. If you can reproduce please reopen this issue with steps. Thanks!
