Hi !

You need just to download needed file from: Release Page and replace the original firmware binary, next you need update your printer firmware via regular way. If you do all right and flash modified firmware to your printer you be able to rise temperature up to 280C via G-Code command.

p.s: make sure what you know what you doing with hi temp ;)

...I should have known better. Github always gets me with the "releases" lurking over there in the corner. Thanks though!

Is there a more fitting place where I can dialog with you about some things? I'm a 3d printer enthusiast who comes from the world of Klipper and Vorons and my recent deal on a FFCP2 has me reeling as I try to go back 6 years to the time of Sailfish and Mightyboards, haha.

I'm having trouble with this step. I am unable to get my fedora laptop to recognize the printer via USB. Is there another way to flash the firmware onto the machine? I've copied the bin file to the sys folder of the SD card but I can't find a way to get the printer to take it.

Hi @chadly !

Can you provide me your printer model first...

I'm having trouble with this step. I am unable to get my fedora laptop to recognize the printer via USB.

If you can't use standard way to update firmware you can't use alternate firmware update too... with some exceptions. Better to fix your printer with official support team of FF if your USB was damaged.

I've copied the bin file to the sys folder of the SD card but I can't find a way to get the printer to take it.

Printer will ignore firmware without firmware update trigger. So you can try some tricks:

  1. You can use JTAG programmer to rewrite firmware it will works always while your MCU is alive, but need to know printers model ( i have pinout only for Dreamer, NX, Dremel 3D20 and Inventor 1 )
  2. If your printer has a wi-fi module you can try to invoke update trigger by yourself... connect with telnet client to printer IP:port ( you can get it from FlashPrint ) and try to invoke something like that ( login, set trigger, logout ):

It's a Creator Pro 2. Thank you for the help.

I'm wondering if it has to do with me running FlashPrint via a flatpak. I'm going to install it on an old Windows laptop later today and try to get the firmware process working.

I was able to connect to the printer and flash the firmware with my Windows machine. Thank you!

The key bit for me was making sure the .intro files were in my FlashPrint installation's firmware directory to match the firmware file here. Without that, the FlashPrint GUI would show that no firmware was available.
