Well it should be easy to fix the exit code for versions that already exist. The corrupt install issue I'll have to dig into a little more.

Okay I found the source of the error:
Updating Go source...
WARNING: Removing corrupt install...
ERROR: Please specifiy the version
Installing ...
ERROR: Couldn't copy source to target folder
If the local gvm install's copy of the Go source isn't up-to-date. When a newer version is requested gvm tried to pull down the changes and install it. The problem is that during this process the version wasn't being properly read. Fixed here: 1a8639a
