Or, Rygel via DBus. According to their web site, Rygel supports "Export of media players that implement MPRIS2 D-Bus interface, as MediaRenderer devices."
Thus, if we just add the optional playlist interface to our MPRIS frontend, we may already have a good DMR frontend with the help of Rygel.

I'm closing this issue because it's mixing multiple features and is confusing.
- DMR frontend: Mopidy can already be a DMR (renderer) for content it has access to through the MPRIS frontend and Rygel. #229 concerns extending this with playlist support.
- DMS backend: A backend for getting music from a DMS (media server) would be nice, but is independent from all other possible DLNA features in Mopidy, and should be an issue of its own. See #230 for that.
- DMS frontend: Mopidy could be a DMS (media server) itself, making its own library available to other DLNA compatible devices. For that feature, see #52.
