That's a good idea, I'm willing to integrate any PR or MR about this. But I've no clue of how to do that myself... I may consider investigating, but I'd love if someone could contribute it.

There is more than one way t do CPAN packaging, and the one I am
familiar with is not the most common one: Dist::Inkt
If you are fine ith that, I am happy to look into getting the project
packaged for CPAN - and can also be the one releasing it there if you
like.

That would be perfect. More generally, our packaging solution seems improvable in many ways. See for example #111.
If you know how to replace and simplify everything we have to package po4a (while preserving our specific targets such as postat), that would be really helpful!
