Hi @saikatdutta , this script is originally from BasicSR(XPixelGroup/BasicSR#135). I asked Xintao when writing this script and got a positive answer: the function we called in the script performs the same as MATLAB imresize, while the other resize functions in OpenCV and PyTorch do not. In my experience, I have many train/test sets using both MATLAB and this script. They can be mixed without obvious kernel mismatching observed.
A lot of people ignore this problem in their papers. Glad you ask it!
