I don't think I've ever used this feature, so I don't know what I'd need to implement.
I'll leave this issue open for future, but probably it won't get into new launcher (at least not at first release time)

Just to throw my name into the hat, this would be a fantastic feature to have, and something that I really miss after recently going over to Linux only
