Good idea! This has been added to the version 7.0 milestone. I will be updating the repo soon.

Thanks! Is there a workaround I could use in the meantime?

@andysavage This is a new feature, so there isn't really a workaround. You could however add the feature and submit a pull request if you want to get it in faster. Here's the code that should work (haven't tested it yet):

+ (NSURL *)shareDocumentWithName:(NSString *)name completion:(void (^)(NSDate *expirationDate, NSError *error))handler {
    // Get the URL to get the file from
    NSURL *folderURL = [[NSFileManager defaultManager] URLForUbiquityContainerIdentifier:nil];
    NSURL *fileURL = [[folderURL URLByAppendingPathComponent:@"Documents"] URLByAppendingPathComponent:name];

    // Create the Error Object and the Date Object
    NSError *error;
    NSDate *date;

    // Create the URL
    NSURL *url = [[NSFileManager defaultManager] URLForPublishingUbiquitousItemAtURL:fileURL expirationDate:&date error:&error];

    // Pass the data to the handler
    handler(date, error);

    // Return the URL
    return url;
}

Make sure to add this method to both the header and the implementation, then build the framework. The Framework will appear in the Xcode Project's Products folder.

Thanks, I'm just about to test this. Just a minor modification I think it makes sense to pass the url in the callback method.

+ (NSURL *)shareDocumentWithName:(NSString *)name completion:(void (^)(NSURL *sharedUrl, NSDate *expirationDate, NSError *error))handler {
    // Get the URL to get the file from
    NSURL *folderURL = [[NSFileManager defaultManager] URLForUbiquityContainerIdentifier:nil];
    NSURL *fileURL = [[folderURL URLByAppendingPathComponent:@"Documents"] URLByAppendingPathComponent:name];

    // Create the Error Object and the Date Object
    NSError *error;
    NSDate *date;

    // Create the URL
    NSURL *url = [[NSFileManager defaultManager] URLForPublishingUbiquitousItemAtURL:fileURL expirationDate:&date error:&error];

    // Pass the data to the handler
    handler(url, date, error);

    // Return the URL
    return url;
}

@andysavage Good thinking! I was testing it out yesterday and realized that if there's going to be a completion block, it's a good idea to also pass the return value there. Thanks! I'll have a commit to push up in a little while. Make sure to check out the feature branch for the latest commits / updates.
