I believe it's a Firefox bug, see:

Ooops. It seems you're completely correct.
I think that (when printing) the legend would work best with a small line next
to the
text rather than (I'm guessing) a box with a background color - see attached PDF
printed from Safari.
(Flot is truly fantastic by the way)

Hm, yeah, the print doesn't look right in that PDF. Someone needs to go through
printing in various browsers at some point.

Maybe do something like replace
<div style="width:14px;height:10px;background-color:' + series[i].color +
'">
with
<div style="width:14px;height:1px; border:5px solid' + series[i].color + ';
background-color:' + series[i].color + '">
or similar
in function insertLegend()
as borders print out, whereas background-colors don't

i made a slight change to comment 6 and it seems to work in all browsers:
'<td class="legendColorBox"><div style="border:1px solid ' +
options.legend.labelBoxBorderColor + ';padding:1px"><div
style="width:12px;height:0px;border:5px solid ' + series[i].color +
';background-color:' + series[i].color + ';overflow:hidden"></div></div></td>'

Hm, I would have given bonus points for a solution that didn't change the
looks. But
I have put the legend idea into the code now.
I'll close the bug, if you find other issues, we can take them separately. :)
