If you use xrdp as a RDP to RDP proxy, yes.
When using xrdp to get a Linux desktop, no.

Thanks for the info. Proxy RDP does not make sense for my use case. Will this capability be coming to a future release or is it not being considered. Could we mark it as a feature request and close this issue?

The only option is to use cups to connect to a network printer. If your on a remote desktop internet printing protocol will work too. Other than that .. nope
