The partition you want to use must be mounted somewhere in /media/ or /mnt/.

If I may offer some advice: when asking for help on an open source project, read what you're saying for tone.

No matter how twisted I can do, the documentation is a pure recipe for disaster. Please update this documentation with additional things which need to be done to avoid these problems. There is no proper solution is available anywhere including nextcloud community pages.

I recommend avoiding hyperbole, assuming good intentions, and assuming what you're doing is wrong, not the docs or software. Obviously that may not always be the case, but people will be far more willing to help you if your issue comes off as a friendly request for assistance instead of an attack.

'datadirectory' => '/your/path/to/directory/data'

ensure also that /your/path/to/directory/data is accessible by snap, see connect external media

I'm using ' and not `. The path is to $HOME/Nextcloud/data. $HOME is expanded. Absolute path is given.
