You can try File > Sort

This method is not entirely convenient. Is it possible to make sure that the sorting that is used in Explorer in the current folder is automatically used?

That could be possible, but I would probably avoid adding too many platform-specific features into nomacs.
I will leave this issue open if others are interested.
