Check your colorscheme. The parser and queries here are identical to the ones bundled with Neovim.
And always test with nvim --clean -up custom.lua

- I already tried every colorscheme shipped with neovim. They all show the same problem, just in different colors.
nvim --clean -u custom.lua
doesn't change anything. The problem still persists.

The custom lia should not use Lazy, of course, and have the minimal lines needed to reproduce the issue.
(Also, make sure you use a decent terminal, as colorschemes can very sensitive to that given Neovim's new auto setting that option.)
