Error when showing device details [v2.3.0] about multiminer HOT 13 CLOSED

Thanks. I've reproduced this. It looks like this is caused when either the Internet is down or there is an error fetching coin information from your selected Coin API source (CoinChoose or CoinWarz). I'l get it fixed. In the meantime you may want to enable notifications for API errors (in the Settings dialog) so that you can see which API is throwing an error.

Ah, that could be due to Multipool or Mooncoin, as it is working with Litecoin.

I was also using CoinWarz and used up all of the free API calls.

The second is most likely the cause. I think a lot of users are going to run into this and not notice (because I hide the API errors by default). It also makes the app stop showing profitability information without any real indication of why.

Since CoinWarz offers 25 calls per 24 hours, perhaps MuM could manage doing like only 1 per hour?

Sure - right-click anywhere in the app and click Strategies. In there you can adjust how often the Coin API is called.

Can you send me the XML files found in %appdata%\MultiMiner (you can paste it into the address bar in Windows Explorer). You can email them to me at nwoolls @ gmail.com. It looks like maybe you added a coin without a coin symbol (which I thought I disallowed).

When I added Multipool, a symbol was required, so I set it as "MP".
