A simple workaround is starting archery with the --offline flag.

Looks like eth0.me has died. Here's what it returns to archey as of this morning:

Just wanted to mention this issue started occurring for me today as well. Archey is part of my startup script so it caused all new terminal sessions to hang when it couldn't connect to eth0.me.
