An alternative to Makeself is pyinstaller. This Stack Overflow discussion and this discussion may help us apply pyinstaller to this Django application. The benefit to using pyinstaller is that it may help us eventually make Raintale available on Microsoft Windows.

Based on our conversation during Monday's meeting, it appears that Docker is probably best because it provides a stable environment from which to manage dependencies.
