That doesn't look very nice. Not sure how to do this properly, but there must be other projects out there with the same issues. It might also be worth taking a look at the termcolor python package.
For now though, I think it would be best to just print info messages with the ordinary foreground colour instead of forcing it to use light grey
from fusesoc.
This was fixed in 8646755 by setting the --monochrome flag. Bonus points if someone also adds this as a config option in fusesoc.conf
from fusesoc.
I don't know if something changed in the code since 2014, but the situation now is even worse than what is shown by the OP. Currently this is what I get:
The warning lines (bright yellow on white) are all but unreadable, and the info lines (white on white) are downright invisible.
I would suggest dropping the "boldface" attribute (1) from COLOR_SEQ
, since doing so makes the lines at least somewhat readable:
from fusesoc.
