No plans yet, this is the first I hear of it. In order to be able to implement conversions across colors spaces there needs to be well defined algorithms we can implement to convert to at least RGB. Since P3 is a higher gamut space I assume such a conversion will most likely have to cross through another higher gamut space, like XYZ or LAB, both of which we only have experimental implementations of because of the lack of proper documentation on what white points to use and a proper set of test data we can verify our implementation against.
If P3 comes with well defined math for conversion to RGB directly I will gladly implement support. Ideally a set of test data to verify correct implementation should be available as well.
It doesn't seem as if the standards process has come that far yet, and I don't really have the energy to follow standardisation processes on this. But if you ping us back when a color syntax has been agreed upon and an algorithm for conversion between color spaces has been implemented I'll take a look again
from one-color.
