can you test if this solution works for you byself?
- login via ssh
- "cp /etc/samba/smb.conf /storage/.config/samba.conf"
- edit /storage/.config/samba.conf and add this option
- reboot and try
fyi: if a file /storage/.config/samba.conf exist it will be used instead the default one after a reboot, in this way you can use your own config.
please try if this parameter really help

Okay....
After a ton of research. The samba server version bundled with OpenELEC is not compatible with OSX... Tested on OSX Leopard, Snow Leopard... and recently bought a imac and installed Lion(that isnt even running samba, its using Apples own proprietary software), and all of them, including Lion, report space as "zero" on large usb drives. I thought at first it was a broken samba implementation on OSX, however since Lion uses a clean room implementation unrelated to the original samba source due to its switch from GPL3, It has to be some kind of flawed implementation of Samba server on OpenELEC. Anyone have any ideas?
