This is usually not needed - For v0.1 -> v0.2, the problem is essentially that windows won’t allow an upgrade from “openkneeboard by Fred Emmott in California” to “openkneeboard by Fred Emmott in Texas”, and I moved since I last gave ssl.com some money.
this appears to be unfixable:
even if it worked as documented, it’s unclear if the necessary windows feature requires an insider preview build of windows 11: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/msix/package/persistent-identity
An uninstall and reinstall may be needed for a future update in a few years, depending on what Microsoft do and if I move.
